Orange Is The New Black - Zeena Xena

Saturday, 28 May 2016 London, UK

Yay! It's bank holiday weekend and time to get SASSY. I've put together this cool outfit to show you that fashion doesn't have to be boring all the time or expensive.This Summer make it a priority to play around with colours and textures putting your own spin to whats currently trending!

I was told recently that orange is my colour and here I am rocking this knotted beaut from Oh Polly they're a fast paced online retailer who have some of the hottest pieces out.  Again as British weather is so unpredictable, its nice to stock up on pieces that can be worn on both sunny and cold days.

These boots by Ego are just the BOMB. I remember seeing yeezy bring out a similar pair and being like in my head "I HAVE TO HAVE THESE". I didn't really think about how sweaty your feet get in these boots though, so I'll just say this... These boots are not for comfort, they're just pretty haha.

Floral Prom Style ft Boohoo - Zeena Xena

Friday, 20 May 2016 London, UK

Two posts in a day? You guys are truly lucky haha! I wanted to bring this one to you ASAP really as Prom season is fast approaching and I know that many of you will perhaps be on the hunt for something to wear for the special occasion. Not your typical prom style dress - I know, but where's the fun in being predictable?

I've teamed up with Boohoo to bring you gals a simple Prom look, please see the images below...

So as the weather is spicing up I thought it'd be a good idea to opt for something floral, to be honest I can't remember when I purchased anything floral but I completely fell in love with this dress! When shopping for dresses, especially bodycon ones I always make sure I choose something 'midi', as anything 'mini' - really becomes non-existent by the end of the night haha.

If you're on a serious budget, this dress is perfect as it's only £20 - all sizes are currently in stock on the website. (Scroll down for links).

The accents of this dress are white so I thought it'd be a great idea to pair these white heels from Public Desire and the dress together just to bring the outfit out a bit more. I love the caged detail on them!

In terms of comfort, this dress is easy to maneuver although its quite fitted (I'm wearing a size 8) and hugs your body in the right places. As you can probably tell, I'm not wearing a bra with this dress - but I'd recommend you do just so you have more cleavage on the big day!
To make this dress even more glam for prom I suggest adding some diamante drop earrings, a shawl and clutch... Adding that elegant touch!

Lots of love,

P.s don't forget to match your lips to any one of the colours in your floral dress - it'll make the look stand out even more!
Just want to wish those of you do final exams a massive good luck, and have a great time at your prom!

Lace It Up - Zeena Xena

London, UK

Guys so I'm absolutely LOVING this outfit and couldn't just select a few photos as I usually do haha. I've put together another piece from My Bandage Dress and styled it up differently in comparison to how I've seen others style pieces from this particular brand up.

This bodysuit from ASOS is everything... Meant for the bedroom of course but styled how I've styled it, can be worn for a night out or even for pre bedroom antics ;)

As featured in this post, My Bandage Dress's items are always figure hugging and most importantly comfortable although they appear quite tight. This blush skirt in particular goes with any skin tone, paired with a nude top/body and rose gold heels (just like I've done) will have you looking like the ultimate golden goddess - haha!

Of course I had to add a funny photo in aha!

Love this outfit but not sure where you'd where this too? I've got the answer! I don't know if it's just me but when I'm on holiday I find I'm more confident in terms of wearing more daring things out. So, whether it be a girly European break or a romantic long haul holiday, this outfit is perfect for evening drinks and dinners.

Summer Days vs Summmer Nights ft New Look - Zeena Xena

Monday, 16 May 2016 London, UK

Hello beauties and a happy brand new week to you all :) As you know I've been on my A game with these fashion posts thanks to my photographer Calvin and all the amazing brands I've collaborated with thus far. One I'm excited to be working with in particular is New Look, why? Because out of all the online/high street retailers, New Look's garments have been in my closet ever since I was in secondary school.. I feel like I've watched the brand grow haha!

Anyway, on to today's post... I've been challenged to style up a Summer outfit taking it from day to night. Follow the images below to see how I've done so, including some tips for you to replicate the same sort of thing...

Simply pairing a jean jacket, trainer shoes & a grab bag takes this look from evening to more day time, meaning you can head out to that day time BBQ and straight to a bar to dance the night away! Remember, your day time outfit doesn't have to be too 'out there' so you can make your two piece as casual as you like... Until later on that evening that is ;)

Removing the "accessories" and changing the shoes is the way to take this look from day to night. If you know me I'm a big fan of matching my shoes to my top so I opted for white caged heels to add some extra sass to this gorgeous outfit.

Both the skirt and top fit very well and due to the colour scheme I have going on here, I think the combo works well for many special occasions... From birthdays to baby showers.

The pieces above and other special occasion pieces can be found in New Look's 'Occasion Hub', where you can shop through categories such as;

* Wedding
* Prom
* Races
* Summer BBQ
This makes online shopping even more easier for you as you do not have to sort through 100s of pages trying to find that perfect dress.

* Sizes worn - 8 in top / 8 in skirt.
As always, let me know of what you think of the above outfit and what you'd like to see me style up next.

Lots of love,

Earthy Tones - Zeena Xena

Friday, 13 May 2016 London, UK

Okay so let's face it.... Pulling of beige/camel toned leggings is not an easy thing to do especially if you're my skin tone. Nonetheless, I've held off for a while and decided that I wanted to make a simple outfit out of these Primark leggings bought for about £4. Taking this recent purchase, I've simply paired with nude heels and a khaki top gifted to me by influencer @jazzersxx who also owns a brand called 'DESERT WASTE' born in Amsterdam. I love supporting other women in business so if you own a fashion brand and want to collab, email me via zeenaxenablog@gmail.com

If you're wondering about these Primark leggings, I honestly think for the price they're really good. This particular colour is not too see through however does show your knicker prints which isn't so great :(. Perfect lightweight leggings for summer and more casual days though :)

In true Zeena Xena Style I'm matching my outfit with the gate behind me and my sunglasses haha! This is never intentional I promise - If I find a door that matches my outfit I'm just all over it. Do you think it works for me and my blog? Would love to hear some feedback from my readers :)
