The Rum Kitchen Kingly Court

Thursday, 7 January 2016 London, UK

If you haven't dined at Kingly Court, where have you been hiding all your life? This place is so magical and I'm always in awe when I pass through. Upon this visit, I was meeting up with a friend to generally catch up and discuss some business ideas for the year. I particularly wanted to dine at The Rum Kitchen as I'm always intrigued by Caribbean restaurant chains, coming from the Caribbean myself.

Now this was no way meant to be a review, but naturally as a blogger I had my camera on me and decided to take some snaps "for the gram", instead they've ended up on the blog haha.

Since this visit I have visited again and can honestly say the food was just as good as the first visit. We didn't have to wait long for a table (although it was the day of Christmas parties), the staff were very friendly and our food came out really quickly (I was soooo hungry on my second visit so was happy to know the wait wouldn't be long at all).

We both opted for the Jerk Chicken Bowl which comes with: 3 pieces of jerk chicken, rice & peas, coleslaw and some watermelon and pineapples to give you a taste of the Caribbean!

We also wanted to try the sweet potato fries and my oh my, so happy I got these! Absolutely divine, I truly suggest ordering some of these fries to accompany your meal if you ever visit :)

I hear this place is BOMB for cocktails, but as a non-drinker I opted for the Friendly Fizz, which is a mixture of Elderflower, Apple, Mint & Soda... It was so sweet but just the way I like it tbh!

Although the restaurant is quite small, the atmosphere is just great with the beautiful views of Kingly Court, the colourful vibes at TRK and of course the reggae playing in the background!

Main - £8.50
Side - £4
Mocktails - £4

Take a look at their menus for the Carnaby & Notting Hill branches here
* FYI I have not been asked to review this place...
