I wanted to do this post because during the Summer I tend to go off expensive perfumes and as a result turn to cheaper alternatives, my beloved body sprays from So...? or even Victoria's Secret body sprays. Am I the only one who does this? I genuinely start to dislike my more expensive perfumes simply because they're somewhat heavy in scent and longevity. Sounds silly, but in the summer I like the fact that my perfume doesn't last all day. I mean it's hot enough, so imagine just smelling Britney Spears - Fantasty (for example, FYI - I hate this perfume) on for the whole day and not being able to get rid unless you shower? No thanks!
Anyway today I bring you not one but two wonderful couture scents by So...?. I'll be taking you through; What they remind me of, How long they last and What time in the day I think these scents are best for.
So...? London - Purchase here
Top Notes: Grapefruit, Mandarin + Apricot
Heart Notes: Jasmine Rose + Violet
Base Notes: Sandalwood, Vanilla + Musk
So this is one of those fresh scents, definitely great for early mornings as you're guaranteed to feel refreshed with how citrusy it smells. This scent kind of reminds me of chilled beach days and nature in general - y'know, the smell of the beach and freshness? Yeah that.
So...? London can smell different when it's first sprayed on your skin in comparison to when it's settled, so if you try it just give it a couple of seconds to absorb. When it settles into your skin, you can definitely smell the Sandalwood, Vanilla & Musk coming through which for me is a great combination. I'd say this scent lasts around 3 hours and is best to wear first thing in the morning so you feel completely refreshed.
So...? Paris - Purchase here
Top Notes: Mandarin, Plum + Violet
Heart Notes: Hawthorne, Rose + Heliotrope
Base Notes: Vetyver, Patchouli + Vanilla
Now, I have to be completely honest with you, I'm not a whizz when it comes to plants and such but all of the above put together smell pretty damn amazing. This being said, So...? Paris has to be my favourite scent so far (even before the famous So...? Kiss me). It almost reminds me of a scent that someone much older would wear but it still smells good. I love the fact that my nose picks up on the mandarin, violet and vanilla - these combined are definitely a winner. I've actually been wearing this scent for about two weeks straight in the day but I would recommend using this as an evening scent. It's one of those ones you'd often associate with the words 'classy' and 'elegant', again lasting about three hours but I do bring it out with me just in case I feel like I need a topup.
So that's it guys - My two favourite scents from So...?'s Couture range, I'd love to know what you think! Also let me know if you go off heavier perfume scents during Summer just like me - I'd like to think that I'm not weird haha!
