Afternoon Tea At The Landmark Hotel With Ladbrokes Bingo - #BuffBallBoys

Tuesday, 30 June 2015 Marylebone, London NW1 6JQ, UK

Good evening all! I hope the weather has been as good to you as it has been to me here in London. It's apparently set to hit 35oc tomorrow and I'm sat here wondering why I haven't planned a trip to the beach (this your cue to come and save me btw haha). If you follow myself and/or Blogging Gals on twitter, you would have noticed that I was invited to have afternoon tea with Ladbrokes and their #BuffBallBoys at the Landmark Hotel in Marleybone (London).

I was told that the afternoon would be themed around the Wimbledon games which was exciting as I've never had a themed afternoon tea before. At about 3pm, I hopped underground and made my way to Marleybone where I met Bunmi (how cool is it that one of my blogger bffs was invited too?). We walked a short distance (about 2 minutes) from the station and ended up at the beautiful Landmark Hotel, where we were welcomed by the sweetest doormen who helped us locate the rest of the crew & wished us a pleasant stay.

We then joined the Ladbrokes team and the rest of the bloggers in the lobby. It was so lovely to meet some of the bloggers from my community and a great feeling to know that I had given some of these people the opportunity to attend this wonderful event.

Myself and Bunmi started off by greeting everyone and introducing ourselves. We then went on to taking some group photos with the ever so cute #BuffBallBoys (pictured above) and then made our way to the private dining rooms for afternoon tea. Seated at our tables, I took this as the perfect opportunity to engage with those around me. This is when I got talking to blogger/singer Darlene who I instantly gelled with. We spoke about our blogs, travelling and our careers - as you do.. haha. We were also joined by Parisian model Matthieu who was there with The Agency and Ladbrokes, he truly made us gals laugh throughout the day.

In true British style, we sipped on some of the finest teas and champagne.. munched on a selection of sandwiches (they also had vegan & gluten-free options) and then came the scones with an assortment of jams and to top that off pimms infused jelly's/strawberry cheesecake and many other sweet treats - mmm.

Here are a few pictures for you to enjoy:

As our afternoon came to an end, a couple of us bloggers decided it would be nice if we hung out together - we continued chatting, planning and of course taking more pics! I just had to snap some more of the hotel for you:

Here are a few pictures of what I wore for the day, all items are listed below:

Shirt - H&M
Trousers - H&M
Bag - Red Herring / Debenhams
Shoes - Primark

Overall I had a fantastic afternoon and hope to be back at this hotel pretty soon! Thanks to Laura and Ladbrokes for hosting this.

Colour Chase Cosmetics - Semi Matte Lipstick Review*

Monday, 29 June 2015 London, UK

Hi beauts,
Just a quick post on some lipsticks I received from the lovelies over at Colour Chase Cosmetics quite a while ago. I've grown a passion for "underground" cosmetic brands now as I really admire the hard work that goes into building these sort of companies. I also like the fact that when someone says "I love your lipstick" followed by "Who is it by?" they're sort of instantly stunned to find out that it's not your typical mac or high-end lippy. It's good to know that there are smaller cosmetic brands out there that offer quality for a decent enough price.

Firstly, let's talk packaging. How lovely is the shape of these lippies? I just love how compact & cute they are too - simple and very well structured. These lipsticks are perfect for your on the go makeup bags as they do not take up much space.

The colours pictured above from left to right Fresh, Vogue and Divine

Here are some swatches:

My favourite has to be divine out of all the colours. It's just a colour that I would wear on a daily basis, one I feel like I can get away with easily. As much as I love blue lipstick, Vogue just doesn't suit me at all. This makes me sad because I've seen many girls rock blue lipstick and look fab in it. I think I may have to give this colour one last shot before I give up though, as for Fresh again it doesn't suit me much but has potential of looking great with some good lip gloss.

So I'm guessing you want to know how long these lipsticks last right? I'd say about 4 hours with you being able to eat/drink and the colour staying put.
These lipsticks are Semi-Matte which gives me so much life! 100% Matte lipsticks feel horrible on my lips and ultra glossy ones just don't look great so this perfect if you're looking for something in-between. As I love my pinks I think I'd definitely want to try the shade Blossom next because I'm always on the hunt for a good light pink but can never come across the perfect match, so would love to put this one to the test.

Hope you've enjoyed this review guys, speak soon!

Boho Babe - London Strolls, Lobster & New Ventures

Sunday, 28 June 2015 Soho, London, UK

Hey Gals & Guys!

Hope you're all well this Sunday afternoon. It's not sunny here in London today but a nice chilled Sunday for me nonetheless.

So. yesterday I met with blogger & friend Bumni from to have some dinner together. We met pretty close to where I live and due to the Pride London Parade (and me being so close to central) all the buses were terminating at Parliament Square. We had two options: a) hop underground and head straight to our destination b) enjoy the weather/walk and go with the flow. We went with the latter and filmed our little travels on Periscope (I went live for the first time) - It was sooo fun! With over 30 people tuned in to my first stream, I'll definitely have to plan some more.

Anyway, so we walked through Parliament Square taking lots of pics on our way.. then to Trafalgar Square where loads of people were just hanging about after the Pride London Parade. We then jaunt-ed through Leicester Sqaure and then onto Soho where we found ourselves in the heart of the parade, one word AMAZING! Honestly, it was so nice to see everyone so happy.. women and men were just complimenting myself and Bumni all evening and we generally just met some lovely people. We also got street snapped for an online magazine as we were apparently 'super stylish' haha - that was cute!

Here's a few snaps of what I wore yesterday with specific details underneath the last photo:

Trousers: A market in Victoria for about £10 (thanks mum!)
Vest: Primark - £1.40
Jean jacket: Topshop - £40
Shoes: Public Desire - £22.99
Bag: Primark - £8
Aviators: Ebay - £1.99
Necklace: "Covent Garden" by Aura London

So on to the food. Bumni completely banned me from having pizza :'( can you imagine? So we strolled through Soho and ended up in Burger & Lobster. Upon entry the team were absolute babes! They were in a great mood due to the parade, singing and smiling throughout our stay there. Honestly this is what I love to see, people who are genuinely happy in their jobs.
BTW I loved the food, my mouth was in a very happy place haha - £20 for Lobster, Salad, Sauce & Fries? I mean you can't go wrong! Everything was prepared and cooked so perfectly and was overall tasty. I'd definitely recommend the Soho branch, I think the food & service is way better than Harvey Nichols in Knightsbridge. Oh if you're after a non-alcoholic drink make sure you try the orange cream soda!

On to a new venture that myself and Bumni have decided to join forces on... a blog together!!! You're probably thinking "How the hell does Zaineb have the time for all of this?", I often wonder the same and have no answer to your question - I just know it'll work. We've decided that we'd want to combine fashion with travel/hospitality and would love to know what you guys think? Honestly. let me know if you think it's a good/bad idea.. I appreciate any sort of feedback. Also names? We need a cool blog name haha.

Right so I feel like I've rambled on so much in today's post but I hope you've enjoyed it!

Speak soon x
